On Saturday, 5th of January 2019 our newly professed Br. Pio Nagi OSB made his monastic vows in a formula he pronounced in Arabic language at the monastery of the Prince of Peace Benedictine Priory – Tigoini in Limuru, Kenya. He professed together with our Kenyan confreres, Br. Augustine Peter OSB, Br. Brendan Felix OSB and Br. Polycarp Evarestus OSB.
It was combined together with the Silver Jubilee celebrations of Abbot John Paul OSB, superior of the monastery of the Benedictine Abbey in Inkamana, South Africa, Fr. Thomas OSB, Cellarer of the monastery of the Benedictine Abbey in Perahiho, Tanzania and Br. Andrew OSB, Sub-Prior of the monastery of the Prince of Peace Benedictine Priory – Tigoini in Limuru, Kenya.
Mass was presided over by Fr. Prior
John Baptist OSB, superior of the monastery of the Prince of Peace Benedictine
Priory – Tigoini in Limuru, Kenya and concelebrated by Fr. Prior Maximilian
OSB, superior of the monastery of St. Benedict of the Copts in Cairo, Egypt and
Fr. Winfried OSB, Secretary to the Benedictine Congregation Council of St.
Ottilien among many other concelebrants. It was attended by many religious men
and women, family members where our confreres come from, friends and quite a
number of faithful.
